The ever popular Suzuki 4X4 range of cars offer four small vehicles all designed to suit different off-road requirements and different pockets. They include the following models, SX4, Jimny, Grand Vitara 3 door and Grand Vitara 5 door.
Let’s take a look at the Suzuki SX4, which offers two of the five models in this range as 4wd, namely the 1.6 SZ5 and the 2.0 DDiS SZ5. These cars offer good economic prices for a well turned out vehicle, which survives well around the town and off road as long as you don’t take them into extreme conditions. Power steering and electric windows are standard, as is MP3/WMA and CD tuner. A family of four will find these super small 4X4 cars ideal for general use, as well as holiday trips, with the comfort offered and the useful boot space.
The 1.6 petrol models should give an all round fuel consumption of 43/44 mpg whilst CO2 emissions are 149 g/km. the 2.0 litre diesel model comes up with around 53 to the gallon and CO2 of 139 g/km.
The Suzuki Jimny has been a popular Suzuki 4X4 for some time and still retains that popularity. This great little model comes in a range of three different types, all with the same 1.3 engine. It is not too expensive and carries all the basic comforts and equipment levels you would expect in this range of car. The Jimny really looks like an off roader, with its almost military styling and will appeal to many people who enjoy the outdoor life and are looking for a practical and economic vehicle. Offering a combined 38.39 mpg with CO2 emissions of 162/167 g/km, this chunky vehicle will stand up well to off roads demands as well as town traffic.
Finally, the Suzuki Grand Vitara, which comes as either a 3 door or 5 door vehicle, each with its own range of engines and types. The 3 door model comes with a choice of two petrol engines with a combine fuel consumption of 30/34 mpg and CO2 emissions of 219 g/km to 195 g/km.
The 5 door model offers either a 2.4 petrol or 1.9 diesel engine. The official fuel combined consumption figures are 29 to 41 mpg and CO2 emissions of 179 g/km to 225 g/km. Both models offer higher specifications than the two previously mentioned and this is reflected in the prices.
All in all Suzuki can offer tidy and practical small 4X4 cars to suit all requirements and pockets, so if you think small offroad, think Suzuki 4X4.
